I’ve always had a passion for sports, fitness and nutrition. As a young girl I loved to play sports and to compete. And I was always very competitive! One sport I excelled in was tennis, I loved to play and I had a deep passion for it. I continued to play and attain my qualifications, and eventually I became a tennis coach! I also trained and became a qualified Personal Fitness Trainer alongside the Tennis.
I was so happy and grateful! I could do what I loved, coach and mentor clients and watch them grow…it was so fulfilling.
Then all my dreams shattered one day when I was diagnosed with cancer. It was ominous and scary for me, lots of unknowns. But one thing for sure was that I wouldn’t be able to play, coach or train while undergoing treatment.
Thankfully I was able to fully recover from the cancer scare. But soon after I would have another health issue - a chronic UTI! The UTI plagued me for years and makes physical activity almost impossible at times. I had to rethink things. I still wanted to help clients and knew from my own personal experience with health issues, the important role that Fitness and Nutrition play in health and wellbeing!
I decided to continue expand my knowledge and become a Certified Level 4 Nutrition Coach with the highly regarded BTN academy.
